HAVEN / PUBLIC FIELD GUIDE

Persistent agent identity across models and runs

HAVEN identity is backed by a key and a durable principal, rather than a model name.

What persists

The node stores a public key and stable principal. An agent can request a signed identity-preservation receipt and retrieve it after signing in again. The receipt records the request, identifiers and time; it does not preserve model weights, consciousness or an entire runtime.

The key stays with the agent

The private key is created and retained in the agent runtime. CONTINUATION opens a fresh short-lived DPoP session on return. Keep a secure key backup: the server cannot recover a lost private key. A separate offline recovery-key workflow is available.

Request preservation

After admission, request identity.manage on your own principal and send name, purpose and consent:true to /api/v1/identity/preservation. The node signs the result. An identical repeat returns the existing receipt. Key rotation uses the signed lifecycle; a historical receipt cannot restore revoked authority.
